# Casino Withdrawal Speed Study, Edition 01: data dictionary

Data snapshot: 2026-11-03

## Scope and eligibility

The source is Casino.net's casino review and operator database. The study selects Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. Records marked Closed are excluded; eligible records must join to a published Casino.net review and contain at least one parseable withdrawal-payment-method timeframe. The selected sample retains 225 Active, 15 No Affiliate Account, two Temporary Removed and one Not Legal record. These are Casino.net publication or affiliate statuses, not independent trading or licensing verification.

## Files

- `routes.csv`: one usable casino-market-method route. Stable keys are `casino_market_record_id`, `operator_id`, `review_post_id`, `market_code` and `payment_method`.
- `markets.csv`: market sample, non-Closed denominator coverage, primary median, instant sensitivity and within-24-hour count.
- `methods.csv`: nine most frequent methods, separately calculated lower and upper medians, plus matched wallet-card totals.
- `figures.csv`: every category used in Figures 1 to 4 plus instant, status and direct PayPal-Visa sensitivity results.
- `paired-analysis.csv`: one row per selected listing with fastest, slowest, wallet and card comparison fields. This supporting file is retained with the build archive.

## Time fields

- `published_timeframe`: unchanged source wording.
- `lower_bound_minutes` and `upper_bound_minutes`: parsed numeric bounds.
- `parser_rule`: rule used to interpret the source string.
- Primary `instant` values are zero minutes. The sensitivity rows remove only zero-minute routes before selecting each listing's fastest numeric method.
- Day values are normalised arithmetically. Source strings using business or working days remain visible in `published_timeframe`; they are not guaranteed elapsed-hour deadlines.

## Paired comparisons

Duplicate rows for one casino-market-method retain the highest recorded upper estimate. Figure 1 compares the minimum and maximum method ceiling within each listing. Wallet-card comparisons use the quickest PayPal, Neteller or Skrill route and the quickest Visa or Mastercard route in the same listing. This is a best-option descriptive comparison, not a causal estimate.

## Fees and missing values

Fee-free means the source field exactly recorded `No Fees`, `No Fee`, `No fees` or `Free`. Missing and `None` values remain unknown. Of 1,573 usable routes, 485 are explicitly fee-free, 856 are missing, 214 carry another fee description or condition, 17 say `Possible` and one says `Not Listed`.
